This policy outlines how payments are processed at House of Cypress, including accepted payment methods, deposit terms, GST information, and order requirements. All transactions are subject to Australian Consumer Law.

Accepted Payments

Last updated: 08/05/2025

We accept the following secure payment methods:

  • Visa, MasterCard, American Express (via Shopify or PayPal)

  • PayPal

  • Afterpay

  • Google Pay / Apple Pay

  • Bank transfer (by request)

All payments are processed through trusted third-party gateways. We do not store full credit card details.

Payment Timing & Order Processing

  • Orders will not be dispatched or shipped until full payment has been received and cleared.

  • Placing an order or authorising payment does not guarantee fulfilment until payment is confirmed.

  • These terms apply to all products and services, including standard, custom, pre-order, and back-order items—unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Non-Payment & Cancellations

If payment is not received within 7 calendar days of order confirmation:

  • We reserve the right to cancel the order without further notice

  • Any supplier costs, restocking fees, or administrative charges may be deducted from any refund issued

  • We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before cancellation

Custom & Specially Modified Orders

Orders involving custom fabrication or factory modifications are subject to strict conditions.

  • A non-refundable deposit is required and clearly communicated at the time of ordering

  • Once fabrication or alterations have begun, the order becomes non-refundable and cannot be cancelled, even if the item has not yet shipped

  • This includes made-to-order configurations, sizing changes, upgraded components, or any deviation from standard stock

Refunds will only be considered if the item is faulty, not as described, or subject to a major failure as defined under the Australian Consumer Law.

We reserve the right to determine whether repair, replacement, or partial refund is the appropriate remedy based on the nature of the fault and legal obligations.

Refunds & Returns

Refunds are processed in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Where applicable:

  • A restocking fee of up to 25% may apply

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping unless otherwise agreed

  • Refunds are not provided for change-of-mind on custom or specially ordered products

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve any concerns prior to lodging a chargeback. We are committed to fair and timely resolution.

Unauthorised or unsubstantiated chargebacks may result in:

  • Suspension of service or account

  • Recovery action to reclaim outstanding funds

  • Reporting to third-party collection agencies if required
